Terms of service

The agreement between your store and EchoBD: what the service does, what it costs, what we each promise, and where the edges are. Plain words on purpose.

Last updated: 22 July 2026

The agreement

These terms are a contract between EchoBD and the business that opens an account. Creating an account, or sending us your first order, means you accept them. If you are accepting for a company, you are confirming you have the authority to bind it.

EchoBD is a tool for businesses. It is not offered to consumers, and you must be legally able to run the store you connect it to.

What EchoBD does

You send us an order — over the API or through a store integration — and we place an automated confirmation call to your customer in Bangla. The customer answers with a keypress; we deliver the result to your webhook and your dashboard. That is the service, whole: we confirm orders, we do not ship them, collect payment for them, or guarantee the customer keeps their word at the door.

Your account

Keep your sign-in credentials and API keys secret and server-side; anything done with them counts as done by you, including calls that spend your balance. Tell us immediately if a key leaks — revoking and reissuing takes effect at once.

The details you give us at signup and KYC must be true and stay true. Accounts that misrepresent who they are can be suspended while we sort it out.

Calling your customers

Every call we place, we place on your instruction — which makes the legality of that instruction yours to own. By sending us an order you confirm that:

  • The customer genuinely placed the order the call is about, and gave you their number in the course of it.
  • You have whatever consent or lawful basis Bangladeshi law requires to have them called about it.
  • You will use EchoBD for transactional calls about real orders — not for marketing blasts, debt collection, or reaching people who never bought from you.

Acceptable use

You must not use EchoBD to:

  • Place unlawful, deceptive, or harassing calls, or calls unrelated to a real order.
  • Send us numbers harvested, bought, or otherwise obtained outside your own store's orders.
  • Probe, overload, or interfere with the service, or resell access to it without our written agreement.
  • Sell goods that are illegal to sell in Bangladesh.

Advertising and third parties

EchoBD does not carry third-party advertising. We do not show ads on this site or in the dashboard, and we do not sell your data or your customers' data to advertisers — the privacy policy sets out the short list of parties data reaches, and none of them is an advertiser.

You are responsible for what you do on your own side. If you run third-party advertising on your store, or embed third-party tools, or share your customers' information with any third party, that is your arrangement and your responsibility — including obtaining whatever consent Bangladeshi law requires for it. EchoBD is not a party to it and is not liable for it.

API and webhooks

The API contract published on the docs page is the one we aim to keep stable. When we must change it in a breaking way, we will give notice and a migration window rather than break integrations silently. Webhook deliveries are signed; verifying the signature is your side of that handshake.

We may apply fair rate limits to keep the service healthy for everyone. Limits that affect you are the kind of thing that belongs in an email, not a surprise.

Fees and billing

EchoBD is priced by plan and by calling minutes, as published on the pricing page. Plans are billed in advance; minutes are metered as calls are placed. Payments are processed by SSLCommerz.

Prices can change, but never retroactively: a change applies from your next billing cycle, and we will tell you before it does. Taxes required by Bangladeshi law are added where applicable. If your balance runs out, calls pause until you top up — we do not place calls on credit and then bill you for them.

Your data

Your store's data — your orders, your customers, your call results — is yours. We process it only to run the service, as the privacy policy describes, and the privacy policy is part of these terms. When the account closes, we delete what the law does not require us to keep.

Availability

We run the service to be there every time an order comes in, but no one can promise a phone network, and we will not pretend to: EchoBD is provided "as is", without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation. Planned maintenance is announced; unplanned incidents are worked until resolved and reported honestly.

Liability

To the fullest extent Bangladeshi law allows: we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — lost profits, lost orders, a customer who confirmed and still refused the parcel — and our total liability under this agreement is capped at the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that the law does not permit to be excluded.

Suspension and ending the agreement

You can close your account at any time from the dashboard or by writing to us; unspent balance is handled per your plan's published terms. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms — for acceptable-use violations, immediately and without notice if the calls being placed are harming the people receiving them. Where the breach is fixable, we will say what is wrong and give you the chance to fix it first.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, and disputes belong to the courts of Dhaka. If one clause of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stand.

Changes, and how to reach us

When these terms change materially, we will update this page, change the date at the top, and notify account holders before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means accepting the new terms. Questions: [email protected].

The other half of the agreement

These terms lean on the privacy policy for everything about data — it is part of the agreement, not an appendix.
