Refund, return & cancellation policy

EchoBD sells prepaid calling credit and monthly plans — a digital service. This is exactly what can be refunded, what cannot, and how long a refund takes once you ask for one.

Last updated: 24 July 2026

What you are paying for

Everything you pay EchoBD for is a digital service. A top-up adds prepaid credit to your account wallet; a plan is a monthly subscription that sets your calling rate and limits. Calls are then metered against that credit as they are placed. There is no physical product and nothing is shipped.

Because the service is delivered electronically, your credit is available the moment a payment is confirmed — there is no delivery to wait for, and equally nothing to return in the way a parcel is returned. This policy therefore covers refunds and cancellations rather than physical returns.

What can be refunded

Unused prepaid credit is refundable. If you have topped up and then decide not to use EchoBD, you may ask us to refund the balance you have not yet spent, back to the original payment method.

  • Unused wallet balance — refunded in full to the original payment method.
  • A top-up that was charged twice, or charged but never credited to your wallet — refunded in full once we confirm it against the gateway record.
  • A monthly plan fee charged in error, or charged after you had already cancelled — refunded in full.

What cannot be refunded

Once the service has actually been delivered, it cannot be refunded — the minutes were spent, the calls were placed, and the cost was real on our side too.

  • Credit already spent on completed calls. A call that connected and ran is a service rendered, so it is not reversible.
  • The current month's plan fee once the service has been used during that month. If you cancel, you keep the plan until the period ends and are not billed again — but the fee already collected for a period you have used is not returned.
  • Charges reversed through a chargeback that we later show corresponded to service actually delivered.

How to claim a refund, and how long it takes

Email [email protected] from the email on your account, or write to us through the contact page, and tell us the top-up or charge you want refunded. We may ask you to confirm the transaction ID shown on your billing page.

Once a refund is approved, it is processed back to your original payment method within 7 to 10 working days. The exact time it then takes to appear depends on your bank or mobile-financial-service provider, which is outside our control — but the refund leaves us inside that window, and we will tell you the date it did.

Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel your plan at any time from the billing page in your dashboard, or by writing to us. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not delete your account or immediately cut off a period you have already paid for — you keep the plan until the end of the current billing period, and any unused wallet balance remains refundable under this policy.

We do not lock you into a contract and there is no cancellation fee.
